Northwestern Water and Sewer District Road Work

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, - The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (the District) delivers water and sewer services to over 19,000 customers in Wood, Sandusky and Hancock counties.  Although many of our construction and maintenance projects are performed underground, our utility work can impact roads throughout our area.  The District will announce updates and when additional projects are under contract.  The below is a current list of active and upcoming construction projects that impact traffic:

Wood County
Village of Bairdstown – Sewer Installation
Through April, daytime, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18, between Bushey Road and Leathers Road for sewer installation.  Traffic will be maintained by automated signal.  Daytime intermittent lane restrictions and short-term closures are also possible on local streets in Bairdstown for sewer installation.  Project complete: June. 

City of Northwood – Equalization Basin
Through July, intermittent lane restrictions are possible East Plaza Boulevard and Wise Street, near former Woodville Mall, for construction equipment staging.  Project complete: August.

Williamsburg-On-The-River Subdivision, Washington Township
Through August, intermittent, short-term lane restrictions are possible in the Williamsburg-On-The River subdivision, between Sugar Creek Road and SR 235, for sanitary sewer rehabilitation.  Project complete: September.

Rossford/Northwood Waterline Testing
Effective Monday, April 3, through Friday, April 7, short-term, intermittent, daytime lane restrictions are possible on East Broadway Street from Andrus Road to SR 795, on SR 795 from East Broadway Street to Glenwood Road and on Glenwood Road from SR 795 to Indian Ridge Trail for waterline testing. Traffic will be maintained by law enforcement.  Project complete: April.
