Northwestern Water and Sewer District Board Update
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, - The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (the District) is moving forward on several projects approved by the Board of Trustees. Today, the board passed two resolutions to accept bids on upcoming construction projects. These investments will improve water and sewer infrastructure within Perrysburg and Washington Townships in Wood County.
The District will move forward on construction projects in the following areas:
The Starbright waterline project was awarded to Cash Services of Northwood, Ohio for a bid of $880,669. Engineers estimate: $1,120,000. This project will replace an aged waterline in the Starbright Subdivision and along Ayers and Oregon Roads in Perrysburg Township. This work will involve excavation and water main replacement throughout the Starbright Subdivision and Ayers and Oregon Roads. Perrysburg Township has coordinated repaving the subdivision and roadways impacted by this construction work. Work is expected to start in July. Additional details will be announced following the preconstruction meeting.
The Lady Glen pump station project was awarded to Zee Construction of Maumee, Ohio for a bid of $153,150. Engineers estimate: $165,800. This investment will modernize the current sanitary sewer pump station infrastructure. The Lady Glen pump station is located on State Route 65 near State Route 235. Motorists can expect daytime lane restrictions maintained by flaggers on SR 65 in this area. Construction is expected to begin this summer and additional details will be announced following the preconstruction meeting.
