District Project Update

Northwestern Water and Sewer District Projects

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, - The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (the District) delivers water and sewer services to over 19,000 customers in Wood, Sandusky and Hancock counties.  Although many of our construction and maintenance projects are performed underground, our utility work can impact roads throughout our area.  The District will announce updates and when additional projects are under contract.  Updates and additions are highlighted in bold and underlined. 

Wood County

Bairdstown – Sanitary Sewer Work *UPDATE*
Through July, daytime, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18 between Bushey Road and Leathers Road for sewer installation.  Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Through July, daytime intermittent lane restrictions and short-term closures are also possible on local streets in Bairdstown for pavement and restoration work.  Project complete: July.

Lake and Perrysburg Township - Tracy Road Sewer Maintenance *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Sewer work and pavement restoration on Tracy Road, between State Route 795 and Ayers Road, is now complete.   

Millbury – Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Through October, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Village of Millbury for sewer work and manhole repairs. Project complete: October.

Northwood – Equalization Basin
Through July, intermittent lane restrictions are possible East Plaza Boulevard and Wise Street, near the former Woodville Mall, for construction equipment staging.  Project complete: August.

Northwood – Curtice Road Waterline Replacement *NEW PROJECT*
Effective Monday, July 10 through November, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Curtice Road between Bradner Road and Reva Drive for waterline replacement.  Traffic will be maintained by automated signal and flaggers.   The closures of Eisenhower and West Point Drives will be announced.  Local access will be maintained.  Project complete: March 2018.  

Perrysburg Township – Starbright Subdivision Waterline Project *UPDATE*
Effective Wednesday, July 5, through November, daytime intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Oregon and Ayers Roads, adjacent to the Starbright subdivision for equipment staging and waterline replacement.  If lane restrictions are necessary, traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Restrictions and closures within the Starbright subdivision will be announced.  Local access will be maintained.  Project complete:  November. 

Rossford - Colony Road Waterline Installation *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Work on Colony Road for pavement and restoration is now complete.

Rossford – Lorraine Place Sanitary Sewer
Through July, lane restrictions are possible on Lorraine Place for paving and restoration work.  Project complete: August.

Rossford – Harmon Business Park Water and Sewer Installation
Through October, crews will be installing new water and sewer lines in the Harmon Business Park.  Motorists are reminded to be aware of additional construction traffic on Bass Pro Boulevard.  Project complete: October. 

Washington Township, Williamsburg-On-The-River Subdivision *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Sanitary sewer work located within the Williamsburg-On-The River subdivision, between Sugar Creek Road and SR 235, is complete.  Lane restrictions on SR 235, between Scott Road and SR 65, and on SR 65, between Brillhart Road and SR 235, are now complete.

Washington Township, State Route 65 Pump Station Upgrade *UPDATE*
Effective the week of July 10, through August, daytime lane restrictions are possible on State Route 65 near State Route 235 for pump station upgrade.   Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.  Project complete: September.   

Weston - Waterline Rehabilitation *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Work on Main, Oak and Taylor Streets for waterline replacement is now complete.
