Northwestern Water and Sewer District Projects
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, - The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (the District) delivers water and sewer services to over 19,000 customers in Wood, Sandusky and Hancock counties. Although many of our construction and maintenance projects are performed underground, our utility work can impact roads throughout our area. The District will announce updates and when additional projects are under contract. Updates and additions are highlighted in bold and underlined.
Bloomdale – Water Line Maintenance, WaterShed, Bulk Water Station *PROJECT RESUMES*
Effective immediately, through August, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Cherry Street in Bloomdale for waterline maintenance. Effective, mid-August, through October, customers can expect a short term closure of the Bloomdale WaterShed for construction of new WaterShed with combined bulk water station. Project complete: October.
Bairdstown – Sanitary Sewer Work
Through August, daytime, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on SR 18 between Bushey Road and Leathers Road for sewer installation. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Through August, daytime intermittent lane restrictions and short-term closures are also possible on local streets in Bairdstown for pavement and restoration work. Project complete: August.
Millbury – Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Through October, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Village of Millbury for sewer work and manhole repairs. Project complete: October.
Northwood – Equalization Basin
Through August, intermittent lane restrictions are possible East Plaza Boulevard and Wise Street, near the former Woodville Mall, for landscaping and finish work. Project complete: August.
Northwood – Curtice Road Waterline Replacement
Through November, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Curtice Road between Bradner Road and Reva Drive for waterline replacement. Traffic will be maintained by automated signal and flaggers. The closures of Eisenhower and West Pointe Drives will be announced. Local access will be maintained. Project complete: March 2018.
Perrysburg Township – Starbright Subdivision Waterline Project
Through November, daytime intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Oregon and Ayers Roads, adjacent to the Starbright subdivision for equipment staging and waterline replacement. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Restrictions and closures within the Starbright subdivision will be announced. Local access will be maintained. Project complete: November.
Rossford – Lorraine Place Sanitary Sewer
Through July, lane restrictions are possible on Lorraine Place for paving and restoration work. Project complete: August.
Rossford – Harmon Business Park Water and Sewer Installation
Through October, crews will be installing new water and sewer lines in the Harmon Business Park. Motorists are reminded to be aware of additional construction traffic on Bass Pro Boulevard. Project complete: October.
Washington Township, State Route 65 Pump Station Upgrade
Through August, daytime lane restrictions are possible on State Route 65 near State Route 235 for pump station upgrade. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: September.
Walbridge – Walbridge Waterline Abandonment *NEW PROJECT*
Through August, short-term intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Village of Walbridge for waterline abandonment. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Project complete: August.
